Monday (3/29/10) – P90X Plyometrics
Tuesday (3/30/10) – Day Off
Wednesday (3/31/10) – P90X Shoulders and Arms with Ab Ripper X – I’ve been able to up the weight on almost every rep by 5 pounds. I was feeling a little sluggish when I started but did very well. Almost completed P90X Ab Ripper X.
Thursday (4/1/10) – P90X Yoga X – Did 3 push ups for every Vinyasa again. The flexibility is coming back.
Friday (4/2/10) – P90X Legs and Back with Ab Ripper X – I had to take a break half way through as we were getting new cable installed at our house. After the hour delay I got back at it and impressed myself. I was able to do 82 total pull ups and chin ups. This tied my previous chin up record and was a 10 rep improvement from the previous week. The hour rest helped out a lot but I’m not making a big deal out of it. How many would I have done if the cable guy did not show up 30 minutes early and I finished it like a normal day? The break also let me power through Ab Ripper X and finish the entire program completing all 25 reps.
Saturday (4/3/10) – Day Off – Does 3 hours of yard work count? My back and arms were sore as hell the next day.
Sunday (4/4/10) – Day Off
I only worked out 4 days this week but those 4 days were very productive. I’m starting to put some muscle back on with P90X. Heavier weight with less reps is doing the trick. Hitting 82 chin ups was cool too. In three weeks since starting P90X again I went from 64 to 82 reps with the legs and back workout. Maybe I can hit 100 in a month.

Doesn’t it completely blow how quickly you lose your strength and endurance when you stop P90X? It is what keeps me going every day. I can’t imagine going through the initial 2 months of ab ripper. I’m up to 28 reps on each exercise and adding one to mason twist each routine (up to 68 going into tonights session). I went 3 weeks between round 1 and round 2 and lost probably 30% of my strength. Ain’t doing that again! 2 weeks to go in this round and then Insanity starts May 1. Keep up the great work, Brad!

Yes. My addiction to P90X, Insanity, and Beachbody in general has kept me motivated enough to not take breaks anymore. Nice work on the mason twist.
