Workout Routines For 12-14-09 To 12-20-09

By Brad Gibala On December 21, 2009 Under Workout

Monday (12/14/09) - P90X Shoulders & Arms - Had a strong workout. I picked a weight which made me do more 8-10 reps with this workout where before I would pick a weight in the 12-15 rep area. I was able to push through a lot of them and was able to do more weight than I thought I could.

Tuesday (12/15/09) - Insanity Plyometric Cardio Circuit

Wednesday (12/16/09) - Day Off

Thursday (12/17/09) - Day Off

Crystal MountainFriday (12/18/09) - Skiing - Went to Crystal Mountain with my girlfriend and some friends for a couple days. It was my first time out this year and my legs felt great. The mountain is not big but is very good for a Midwest ski resort. My girlfriend gave me my Christmas gift early which were a new set of Salomon Ski Boots. It was time for a new set as I've had the same ones since High School.

Saturday (12/19/09) - Snowboarding - I enjoy both skiing and snowboarding so I switch it up every time. Had a great day. Legs still felt great. I actually did not feel tired at all. At the end of the day it felt like all that I did was get warmed up. All of the Insanity workouts I've been doing have made a huge difference in how my legs are conditioned. Its a good thing to with my annual ski trip this year coming up in February to Park City, Utah. The "Gnar" is going to be shredded.

Sunday (12/20/09) - Day Off - Drove back and rested.

I took off one more day then I normally do to rest up for skiing and snowboarding and it worked. I was hardly tired after each day. My legs and core areas felt much stronger than last year when I was going down the hill all because of the Insanity workouts. Only one day of P90X, but two days of fun were a much needed trade off.
