Workout Routines For 1-4-10 To 1-10-10

By Brad Gibala On January 11, 2010 Under Workout

Monday (1/4/10) - 4 Mile Run. Running in the cold sucks. I forgot to stretch out when I got home and my body tightened up. Next time I need to stretch out.

Tuesday (1/5/10) - Insanity Pure Cardio - Had a crappy workout. Energy was not there. I could still feel all the crap food I ate over the holidays moving around in my gut. No energy at all. I sucked today.

Wednesday (1/6/10) - Insanity Pure Cardio - Had to make up for yesterday. Did much better this  time and even kept up with Shaun T for all of the push ups.

Thursday (1/7/10) - P90X Legs & Back - Was able to do 64 total pull ups and chin ups which is a improvement of 3 from my previous time. I'm working my way back up to my chin up record of 82.

Friday (1/8/10) - Insanity Plyometric Cardio Circuit - Had a great workout even though my legs were sore as hell from doing legs and back from the day before. Still can't make it through the entire "Ski Ab" and "In and Out Abs" part of this Insanity workout.

Saturday (1/9/10) - ChaLean Extreme Lean Circuit 1 - My girlfriend asked me to do ChaLean Extreme with her. It was my first time doing it and I must say that it was very challenging. I used my Bowflex Selecttech Dumbbells or resistance bands for almost every workout. My arms were sore by the end of the day from these workouts. ChaLean does a lot of failure reps which really challenge the muscle. I can now see why Andrea lost 10% body fat doing ChaLean. I'll definitely be doing the ChaLean workout again.

Sunday (1/10/10) - Rest Day

What started out as a slow week ended on a high note. I put a lot of effort into my workouts this week and it showed as I was sore almost every day. More pull ups with P90X and a new interest with ChaLean. I liked how the workout was 45 minutes long and not the hour long marathons with P90X.
