Weekly Workouts For 2-23-09 to 3-1-09
Monday (2/23/09) We spent the entire day driving back from our trip to Mont Tremblant. We drove 4 hours the previous night and stopped half way in Kingston, Canada. From there we had another 6 hours back into Detroit. I drove the entire way back. Being exhausted from driving and raging on the slopes over the past week I did not workout today.
Tuesday (2/24/09) Did not workout today either because I spent the entire day catching back up on things and my knees were killing. I think it was from the driving and skiing.
Wednesday (2/25/09) Still felt tired from all of the driving. Took one more day off to recoup.
Thursday (2/26/09) Got back into the swing of things. Did P90X Chest and Back with dad. I struggled doing it because it had been over a week and a half since I had done any kind of upper body workout. Some of the exercises I did okay with and some not so good. My energy levels were still not back up to par from the trip yet.
Friday (2/27/09) My body was feeling tight as all hell so I felt it was best to do Yoga X. Again, I struggled with moves I could normally do easily. My body must hate me right now for either taking a week and a half off from doing P90X or what I did to it on the trip. Dad did better with some of the Yoga moves though.
Saturday (2/28/09) Took the day off.
Sunday (2/29/09) Starting to feel more energy now. Got off my butt and ran 3 miles on the treadmill. Felt good to finally be able to do some sort of workout at a level I know I can do.
In summary. I did not do that much exercise this week as I was still recovering from my ski trip to Mont Tremblant in Canada. Spending 11 hours in a truck, skiing for 4 days, and staying out late drained my body and this week was more of a recovery week than anything. Dad told me his is starting to feel some small gains, especially while stretching which is one of his major goals.
