I got winded going up the stairs and refused to buy new clothes for the larger size, so felt even worse about myself since I never wore anything nicer than baggy stuff. A picture of me at my brother’s wedding is what kicked me into gear – thank goodness I had a nice outfit and my hair was done because the rest was unrecognizable, I didn’t feel like myself anymore.

What were your biggest obstacles? How did you overcome those to get your P90X results?

My biggest obstacle was time. Finding a time where my husband and I could BOTH get a workout in while still having one parent supervise our young family took some juggling. The solution is usually to have one parent get up and work out super early, and the other in the evening right before the kids go to bed. It doesn’t always work, some nights we work out super late in the evening. It took us quite a bit longer than 90 days to finish our first round. We still got good results (in LARGE part because we followed the diet plan), and now working out is habit – one way or another we find the time.

How has your P90X results changed your life?

Todd is in the best shape of his life and I’m almost there. I’ve lost 25 lbs so far, and won’t have trouble losing the rest. Some upper shoulder soreness from a car accident a long time ago has completely gone away through the strengthening. I feel like myself again and will never go back.

Why did you sign up to be a coach?

At first it was just to be accountable to myself. It didn’t take long for us to both realize that we loved the P90X workout and the Beachbody programs in general as a lifestyle, and wanted to help make that a part of other people’s lives as well. It’s very fulfilling to see the positive transformations others are making in their lives, and we both love being a part of that by providing support to our customers and coaches.

This was a guest post written by fellow coach Anastasia McCune. How did you overcome those?

I would say the biggest obstacles for me were fighting back the excuses not to workout and nutrition. Since my wife and I did the program together we were both there to support each other which made it a lot easier. Nutrition was the hardest thing to change. We had to completely change what we were buying and eating, but when we actually committed to it our P90X results were great.

How have your P90X results changed your life?

My P90X results showed me what being healthy and fit feels and looks like, it gives me more energy to do the things I love throughout the day, and it makes me feel better in all aspects of my life.

Why did you sign up to be a coach?

I love the discounts, 25% is an amazing discount on all of the programs and nutritional supplements. Being a coach also helps me stay committed to my health and fitness. Its a way to stay accountable for your decisions you make in your daily life. I also like the fact that I get to share my success with others and watch them grow in their fitness.

This was a guest post written by <a

Was it the infomercial, friend or co-workers results, bored with the gym, etc.?

So there you are, in the North Pacific Ocean 80 miles offshore. You are alone. It’s sometime after two in the morning and the only lights you can see are the eerie phosphorescent streaks caused by the 70+ knot storm winds. Before your sailing vessel de-masted and rolled, you logged the swell out of the northwest at 22 feet. Now, as you flail in the trough, with your head bobbing in the black sea water, that same swell looks like a five story building ready crash down upon your little body and tumble you like an industrial washing machine. You are in 48 degree water, and the cold has penetrated your survival suit with a thoroughness reminiscent of a pack of angry dogs. You are shivering uncontrollably with hypothermia and your family is somewhere out in the ocean lost to you. Your only hope is the bright orange helicopter that has suddenly appeared from the gloom with a bright light. The ugly angel is your savior and may hold the rest of your family inside its tiny fuselage, if only it didn’t just bobble in the sky and veer radically away from you. Barely scooping away from the ocean’s clutches the helicopter disappears into the gloom as quickly as it arrived. Unbeknownst to you, the pilot of the helicopter had a heart attack at the tender age of 36. He had been working on blocking his arteries with fat for the last 14 years by eating poorly and skipping workouts.

Flying helicopters and saving lives is my job. I didn’t have heart attack, but it wouldn’t be outside the realm of possibilities had I continued down the path I was following. I don’t want to be one of those guys who constantly fights health problems so that I can do my job. I want to be able to do it efficiently and safely, but that isn’t the only reason I wanted to get in better shape. Honestly, my primary motivation came from my lovely wife.

One day my wife looked at me with elevator eyes and said, “You are getting fat.” I had seen the P90X infomercial several times and even know some people who had gone through the program, but I never thought that kind of workout was for me. Prior to P90X, I had always thought of working out as an endurance test and I figured if I could still run 5 miles, swim 2000 meters, and bench press more than my body weight, I must be okay…right? The truth is that I wasn’t okay. The extra weight I had put on was making me prone to injuries especially in my shoulders, lower extremities, and my back. Pain makes the desire to workout wane very quickly, and yet I persisted in the belief that I was okay–that it was normal to gain a few pounds when your metabolism slows in your late thirties, that I wasn’t fat, I was more slender and in better shape than most of America. The psychology of self-image is delicate, but denial can be broken by an objective point of view if you are open to listening. By the way, if your reference point is the majority of America, you might just be in denial.

After my wife’s comment, I saw the P90X infomercial again and decided it was finally time to change the way I workout and the way I eat. I didn’t think it was going to be easy, but I thought even the loss of a few pounds would be great. The day I ordered P90X, I started working out seriously again while I waited for the program to arrive. When the program arrived, I jumped right in to the first workout the following day. I didn’t bother with the fit test, perhaps because I was still relying on a self-image that believed I was in good enough shape. That first workout proved me wrong, but I pushed through with modified movements. It wasn’t until the third week that I could complete a workout without modifying the movements.

What were your biggest obstacles (work, school, family) in getting your P90X results? How did you overcome those?

There are obstacles and there are choices in life. The past three months have probably been the most stressful times I have experienced in my current job. The thing about job stress is that it is usually created by artificial obligations, especially when talking about a desk job, which is what I am currently assigned to do. I bet the people I rescued and drug runners I have stopped never thought that the pilot of the aircraft above them was working his way towards serious health problems.

I am a busy person, but I made the commitment to follow a solid nutritional plan and workout consistently despite work and graduate school obligations. I tried not to sacrifice family obligations, but my wife may have a different viewpoint on that subject. Without the support of my wife and family I would never have been able to make a commitment to this program.

How has your P90X results changed your life?

In 90 days, I reduced my weight from 210 to 181. I am slimmer, stronger, and fit enough to face life’s challenges. Moreover, this program is sustainable with no more effort than it takes to eat poorly and avoid workouts. Best of all, my self-esteem is higher and I no longer feel self-conscious about taking my shirt off at the lake or the pool.

Why did you sign up to be a Coach?

So far being a coach has been all about the discount (25%) and home delivery of the products. This program also helps keep me committed; although, so many people ask about the progress I have made that I see no reason not to capitalize on my efforts and would feel really guilty if I reverted to old habits.

This was a guest post written by fellow coach <a

Was it the infomercial, friend or co-workers results, bored with the gym, etc.?

I was in my mid 40′s, 6 ft, over 200 pounds and did not feel good. I had gained a couple of pounds a year over the years and it was adding up. I did not feel comfortable without a shirt by the pool and just felt lethargic. My cholesteral was over 220 and a friend suggested I may have to start taking some cholesteral drugs. My blood pressure was high. I did not want to take any medication. I was noticing my pants had gone up to size 36 and were tight. There was no way I was going to buy a 38. My clothes did not fit well. I saw the infomercial and thought I could do it. I needed a change. I had a gym membership but found it hard to consistently get down there. I also did not know the exercises that my body needed. I saw some pictures of myself and did not like what I saw.

What were your biggest obstacles to getting your P90X results? How did you overcome those?

My biggest obstacle is just trying to schedule the time to workout in my busy daily routine. I have three boys age 4, 12 and 14. They keep me busy. I also work and travel quite a bit. I thought I did not have the time to workout or go to the gym on most days. I had a busy schedule at work and then soccer practice/football/basketball with the kids when I got home. We also had school activities and trying to spend a little time with my beautiful wife. I was over whelmed and stressed looking back at it. What I did not realize is that working out was essential to my body functioning well in my job and with my family. Now that I have made time in my daily routine to workout my life has become more manageable. I dont know how I functioned without it. Once I started to see some results and feel better I realized that you have to workout as you age.

How has your P90X results changed your life?

I have not reached all of my goals yet but I now weigh 175 and wear size 32 jeans. My body fat percentage is around 14. I play basketball weekly and have more energy that most of the guys on the court. I drive the ball further in golf. My golf score dropped about 5 strokes. I relax more when playing and do not tire on the back nine. I play soccer with my kids and some friends weekly. I also have energy for bike riding, hiking, rafting etc. I have become much more active. Healthwise my blood pressure dropped to115 over 62. My cholesteral is 180. My clothes fit better. I went from an extra large t- shirt to a medium t-shirt size. I feel like the workout clears my mind, makes me more productive at work, and reduces stress in my life. I dont know how I functioned without it. I would rather show up a few minutes late for work because I worked out than to go without doing it.

Why did you sign up to be a coach?

I like the discounts to buy nutritional products. I also like being a part of this community. It motivates me and helps me when I see what the other coaches and members are doing. I want to help people that are in the same situation that I was in. I see people everyday, everywhere I go that need help. I see people just like I was and some much worse. I was not truly 100% happy with myself and I know others are not because they tell me. Contact me and I will help you do all of the things I have done. No medication, an active lifestyle, playing all sports with my kids and friends, feeling alert, confident, can go to the pool or the beach and feel good, smile more, the list goes on and on. I am truly a happier person. Let me help you! Sign up for a free account below.<br

My friend Brad Gibala and my 36 inch waist. I was sick of buying bigger clothes and never being happy the way I looked without a shirt on. It’s funny cause at the stores all you see is medium and small sizes available, never large! I was on my way to my 30th birthday and needed to look 20 again. P90X and RevAbs gave me my look back

What were your biggest obstacles to get your P90X results? How did you overcome those?

Picking the same time everyday and working out for an hour/hour n half. Watching people eat pizza, pasta, and drink beer. I also have 2 children and the only time to work out was at 5:30am so it made for a long day.

How has your P90X results changed your life?

The program has made me realize that being healthy is in. Watching what I eat but not feeling guilty for eating bad once and a while. I lost 28 pounds, down to 15% body fat and in size 32 jeans instead of size 36.

Why did you sign up to be a coach?

Besides the steady income I make each month I love to help people I know get back to their normal self. The coaching thing allows me to stay healthy and motivated to never gain the weight back. I’m a walking billboard for phattyfit.com so I need to stay trim or who is going to take my recommendations.

This was a guest post by coach Gianni who had been non-stop talking about this program. At first, I thought I’d be just fine doing my own normal routine but then I started to see the results my brother was getting. The next day I decided to become a coach and start my own 90 day resolution and it was the best change ever. I lost about 20lbs, bulked up like I wanted to and got my six pack back. Still going strong with the program and keeping in shape til this day.

What were your biggest obstacles in getting your P90X results? How did you overcome those?

The biggest challenge for me was eating small meals throughout the day and drinking lots of water. Because I am on the road all the time for work, it was hard for me to pack food everyday and actually bring it with me. I overcame that by just making sure I made a lunch the night before so I had it ready for the morning. The other obstacle I had was actually working out on the weekends. Most of the time I just wanted to relax and not think about any “work” on the weekends or working out for that matter so it was tough to get to it. I just made sure to work out as soon as I got home on Friday’s, workout early on Saturday’s so it’s over and my rest days were on Sunday’s so I was all set there.

How have your P90X results changed your life?

P90x has given me the body that I had back when I was in high school. I had 3 workout classes a week back then and was always on top of my figure and in great shape. I could see the P90X results within 30 days of the program. Yeah, 30 DAYS!! To give you an idea, my biceps alone grew from 12inches when starting out, to 14 1/2inches in a little over a month with P90x. After the 90 day program, I went from 183lbs to 160lbs, lost 4inches on my waist (really none of my pants fit me anymore) and reduce my body fat by 7.47%. I feel like I can run for miles and during soccer season I’m all over the place.

Why did you sign up to be a coach?

What I like most about being a coach is that I am able to share my success with others and help them to make the change as I did. I feel by being a coach, I have a huge title and physical appearance to maintain as well and that helps me stay fit. The discounts are a plus but the best feeling comes from helping others change their lives.

This was a guest post written by fellow Coach

Why did you start P90X?

A friend recommended P90X to me. I have always been “in shape” but never stuck with a workout routine because I would quickly become bored.

What were your biggest obstacles in getting your P90X results?

I have a family of 5, work a full-time job and go to school full-time. I also officiate high school and college basketball year round. I don’t allow obstacles, i.e. excuses, get in the way. After starting P90X, I was hooked from day 1. I have never been that sore from a workout and after Chest, Back & Ab Ripper X, I knew that this was the program for me.

How have your P90X results changed your life?

P90X has changed my life by helping me to become more fit, flexible and less injury prone. Before P90X, while officiating basketball games, I would constantly cramp up during half-time and I was always out of breath. Now I can run with the best of ‘em. Plus, when trying to advance in officiating, assignors only hire referees with a certain “look”. My P90X results has given me the “look” I was looking for.

Why did you sign up to be a coach?

I originally signed up as a coach to receive the discounts. Since then, I enjoy being a coach because it holds me accountable to everyone. Now that everyone calls me “Mr. P90X” or “Tony Horton” I have to stay in shape. I have also enjoyed sharing P90X and other Beachbody programs with others. A number of my friends and family members have started one Beachbody program or another and they are all glad they did.

This was a guest post by fellow Coach <a

Nothing terrible, but definitely noticeable. I sit at a desk probably 10-12 hours a day for work, so I have to get all my exercise deliberately. I decided to work towards changing it. Started running and doing body weight workouts with improved diet, but it didn’t really make much of a difference. Then I started P90X in February 2010.

<span

Before P90X I had always started working out with good intentions but had always moved away from my workouts. I had a serious commitment problem and needed some serious help. I had noticed that the P90X came with a workout and diet guide. After talking it over with few people who had already used it and had great success with it, I decided to put everything I had into it and to not let anything get into the way of my workouts.

What were your biggest obstacles in getting your P90X results?

Being a teacher made it easier to use and complete the P9oX. The P90X is a 90 day workout system so it was perfect for me to do during the summer. The biggest obstacle that I had was following the 2000 calorie/day diet. Now 2000 calories a day is a lot, but the calories were all coming from extremely healthy food. Before, these types of foods were strangers to my body. But after about three weeks my body adjusted to the diet and I began to get into a great eating and working out routine. My wife used to make fun of me because I was so dedicated to working out. The height of this dedication came when we went on vacation and I brought the P90X with me. I told myself and my wife that if I didn’t do my workouts while on vacation that I would be extremely upset with myself. After a while I began to crave working out and found that it gave me a “natural high.”

How have your P90X results changed your life?

After the 90 days were up, I had lost 22 lbs., 4 inches off of my waist, and 7% in body fat. I play in an adult soccer league and I can remember telling one of my teammates that I had NEVER felt better in my life. The only other time I had been in better shape was when I wrestled in high school. Now, I may have been in better shape then but I didn’t feel that good. I didn’t feel that good because I wasn’t really eating all that well. I would work my butt off to make weight and then binge eat afterwards. The P90X is the best of both worlds. I WISH I HAD KNOWN ABOUT P90X THEN!!!

Why did you sign up to be a Coach?

Besides the business aspect, what I like the most about being a coach is being committed to my health. This has led me to leading a healthier life and helping others do so as well.

This was a guest post written by fellow coach <a
