    I had a good round of golf Monday for me. Seven pars and shot a 89. Usually I am mid 90’s with 3-4 pars. If I could putt a little I could have had a couple more pars and maybe a birdie or two. I drove the ball 240-250 average. I had a couple in the 280 range that I hit well. That is probably 20-25 yards farther on average for me driving. My iron shots were straighter because I did not swing as hard because of better conditioning. I got stronger on the back nine and I know it is from P90X. I only play 6-7 times a year. I am actually shooting for the green now in regulation which makes the game a lot more fun. Just need practice at the short game. To score well you need to be consistent and play the short game well. I had 3-4 bad holes that got my score up. It was a blast.

    Brad, I am not to good at counting the calories either. I have a visible 4 pack and feel like the 6 is close but not quite there. I like to drink an adult beverage on the weekend and I eat some things I should not. I did some Cardio X a few times at night and have been doing extra pullups and my I dont think I have been eating enough. I crashed in basketball last week. Nothing serious but just ran out of energy and felt totally spent on the 4th or 5th game. Usually, I have the most energy on the court.

    Did Another set of pullups tonight. My oldest son in 9th grade made the JV soccer team and is doing pullups with me.

    I use X Stretch and yoga also and it feels like it heals me. Stretching the sore areas fells like it is healing me.

    Stephen, it is a struggle for me. I wish I had a simple answer or knew exactly what to do. I have been trying to eat cleaner to get my abs to show more. Sometimes I guess I am not eating enough. This is the first time it has happened to me. I did some doubles and have been doing extra pullups and I dont think I have been eating enough to support the activity. I am not giving up though. I am close to the weight I want to be. I just need to work on diet more. I went an ate a big steak after i ran out of energy in the game. I might pull the diet book out and see if I can get some more ideas there. Dont give up either. You have come so far from the pics I have seen of you. Keep working at it. We will get there. Let me know what you learn and I will do the same.

    58 pullups. Felt heavy this morning. Also struggling with diet. I weighed 171 on Saturday but bonked or ran out of energy at the end of basketball. I dont think I am eating enough.

      58 pullups. Felt heavy this morning. Also struggling with diet. I weighed 171 on Saturday but bonked or ran out of energy at the end of basketball. I dont think I am eating enough.

        Eat too little and you have no energy and are hungry… Eat too much and you start gaining. It’s all but impossible to get it right, and I’ve about given up on trying to.

        Ultimately the only thing I’ve really learned is that I won’t give up, regardless of how incredibly frustrating and disheartening that all of this truly is at times. I don’t know what works, I just know that most of the stuff which is supposed to work, doesn’t.

        The only way you are going to get your abs to show is to count calories. Its too much for me to do. I eat well about 90% of the time and have a visible 4 pack. The 6 is there but its not the 10% important enough for me to do as I’m not going to be on the cover of any magazines.

        @ Stephen – There is nothing to be frustrated about. You’ve lost a lot of weight. Can you describe what’s not working for you?

    I am following Tonys plan to get better at pullups by doing a set in the evening. I did 58 tonight after my 82 this morning. 140 for the day.

    Pullups this morning. Two sets of 12, four sets of 10, two sets of 9. It seems like you can do more pullups without doing all of those different pushups in chest and back. The speed that you do them also is a factor. If you are doing slow pullups and coming all the way down I tire faster. I try to pump them out but come all the way down.

      Pullups this morning. Two sets of 12, four sets of 10, two sets of 9. It seems like you can do more pullups without doing all of those different pushups in chest and back. The speed that you do them also is a factor. If you are doing slow pullups and coming all the way down I tire faster. I try to pump them out but come all the way down.

        That’s awesome Gary. Have to agree with you about the chest and back statement. I’ve done 82 chin ups with Legs & Back and only 55ish with chest and back. P90X Legs & Back is probably my 2nd favorite workout because I can challenge my entire body. I still get sore doing it.
