Friends Are Noticing My P90X Results

By Brad Gibala On September 29, 2008 Under P90X

Over the weekend I went to a buddy of mine from college's wedding. Most of the people who were at the wedding we already knew and we see all the time but there were a few other friends that we only see at things like Homecoming or events like weddings. One of my friends was a buddy of mine who was in the same fraternity of mine. We were not very close in college but have kept in touch occasionally and talk over Facebook or email.

It had been about 9 months since I had seen him and when we were walking up to the bar we started catching up on things. He married a girl that is a big runner and has even completed a marathon of her own. She did the Detroit Marathon a year after I did. He told me that he had been training and did a 15 mile run two days ago and was nervous about doing the full 26.2 miles. I told him that it should be no problem if he can already do 15 miles. I told him that he was looking really skinny. In college we had roughly the same body types so it was looking like he had dropped about 15 pounds. This was about the same amount of weight I had dropped when I was training for the marathon. After getting done talking about training for the marathon he said that I was looking different. I informed him that I had been doing P90X for over 7 months now. He told me that he's never seen me with big shoulders and big arms. I know that my shoulders and arms are bigger but never to the point where it got a reaction out of him from it. We kept on talking and I told him about the P90X DVDs and that when he is done with the marathon he should do it. After the marathon would be a perfect time to start doing P90X. Your body has dropped a ton of fat and is lean already. It would be so easy to start getting a "ripped" look when all the weight that you can put on is just muscle. It was cool seeing that my P90X results have not gone un-noticed and makes me want to keep on pushing.
