If its listed for less then $119.85 then it is a illegal copy and you need to be cautious about buying it as many scammers are taking peoples money and not sending anything. P90X is not available for download from Beachbody (yet) because you get other things in the package that are not digital.
Why You Should Not Download P90X
Scammers used commerical dvd burners to put the P90X DVDs on computer files. A normal computer cannot “burn the P90X DVDs” as there is a copyright infringement on them. Trust me, I’ve tried. You have to use the same commercial grade equipment Beachbody uses to make the P90X dvds. They broke down each P90X workout dvd into a file. The entire P90X DVDs take up almost 53 Gigabytes of memory. Will that take up a lot of space on your computer? Do you know how long it takes to download a file like that? Roughly 16 days, running 24 hours a day. What’s funny to me is the comments people leave who did download P90X. My favorite one was, “It took me 18 days to download P90X, but its totally worth it.” Really? He could of bought the P90X DVDs and been on week 2 already. If it’s “totally worth it” then wouldn’t that mean its worth buying?
I have met many people who have done the P90X workout. Most have told me if they bought or did download P90X. After talking or just looking at them this is what I found. The people who did download P90X had a 10% – 20% success rate while the people who actually bought P90X had a 75% – 85% success rate. Why are the numbers that much higher for the people who bought it? The answer is really simple. Its because the people who bought it had some skin in the game. The forked out the $119 to buy it and if they did not try it then it would be throwing money away. The ones who did download P90X had nothing invested so it was ok to not stick with P90X. Its like people who put no money down when buying a house. Its easy to walk away from it when you have nothing invested. You are trying to get in shape, right?
Its weird telling people to not download P90X as I grew up in the Napster generation. However, I quickly realized after getting out of college that there is a reason why companies don’t give away their products for free. Their livelihood depends on it. Its how they support their families. Its how they put food on the table. You know where I’m going with this. If the infomercials and people’s P90X results don’t motivate you to buy it then why download P90X? All that will happen is its going to be another huge file on your computer taking up space that you’ll never use. So until people start voting Libertarian and repeal copyright laws then this is what we have to deal with.
What Happens When You Download P90X
The worst part of the sites that allow free downloads are that they make millions of dollars a year by taking other peoples work and giving it away for free while selling advertising space to online dating sites, spamware, viagra, etc. Pretty much all of the sites that fill up your inbox with spam. The sad thing is that there is nothing Beachbody can do about it. All of these sites are registered in foreign countries so Beachbody cannot sue them with U.S laws. To mock these companies they put letters up they receive from lawyers telling them to cease and decist.
I did not like spending $120 for a box of dvds when I bought them either. I wish I could have gotten them for free too. However, I’m glad I did buy them. I’ve owned them for over 3 years now and have completed 4 rounds of P90X alone. Its like I bought a couple of the best workout books of all time and have them on my shelf to motivate me to stay in shape.
A couple key points about me and this article.
1. I am not a Beachbody employee. I will earn some money if you buy P90X through this site but that is not my motivation in writing this post. My goal was to tell you the facts. The reason is because if you decide to download P90X then we all lose. Beachbody will not be able to develop future workouts (not just P90X) for all of us to do because the funding is not there for it.
2. Beachbody does not give away “free P90X dvds” or allow people to download P90X for free because there are a couple hundred people who work at Beachbody. They get paid salaries and without buying a product that has transformed over 4 MILLION people since it came out they would be out of work. Then there would be no more workout programs and you’ll probably get bored going back to the gym again. This is something to think about if the company you work for makes something that can be copied by people who don’t care and given away for free.
I cannot make you buy P90X but I hope you take a second to digest what I’ve written. If you still choose to “download P90X” or get the “P90X torrent” I highly recommend you go and sign up for a free Beachbody account and check out their nutrition products at the Beachbody Store. hey im 17, and weigh about 105 im wondering if the p90x workout will help gain muscle weight and get more toned and hopefully bigger. I asked this because i know most people use it to lose weight.
P90X will do all of those things. You need to have a lot of weight to lose first if you’re going to lose weight. I didn’t when I started and I put on 10 pounds of muscle in my first 90 days.

Itzel – The first thing you need to do is change what you eat. I recommend you sign up for a free Beachbody account and start reading through their free eating tips guide. You will also want to get your parents involved as this is going to be a family effort. No fast food, pop, candy, or greasy food to start. Get out walking or doing something and I’m sure you’ll see the weight start to come off. Its a process so give yourself 6 months and set small goals.

Izzy – It might have taken 16 hours for the person who downloaded P90X because they had dial up or was on a slow site. Are you calling your friend a loser for downloading P90X? 155 pounds for 6 foot sounds very skinny. I’m 5′ 11″ and am 185. I totally agree that paying for P90X is the right thing to do, and I have (the DVDs should arrive this week). But I need a digital copy to play on my netbook. If Beachbody had an option for a digital copy (with DRM) I would have bought that instead of the DVDs. It’s disappointing that they don’t.
I’m sure Beachbody is working on making P90X downloadable with a pay option very soon. It only makes sense. They have other workout videos that are streaming for free.

I obviously purchased the P90X program way back when. I have all of the DVDs, but I am actually torrenting them online to get backup copies. Also, some of my DVDs freeze up. So that’s the only reason why I am torrenting them.
Anyway, I don’t know if this is against the law. I don’t believe it is, since I already own copies of the program, and I won’t be seeding the files. Just downloading them for backups / and since some DVDs freeze.

Yes. They show you how to modify every move including the high impact cardio laws. I also have bad knees so I’ve had to modify them. What happened over the first couple weeks is the areas around my knees got stronger so I could do the higher impact moves.

This is partially true. The only genuine P90X dvds on eBay are used. Any P90X DVD claiming to be new on eBay is a fake and or scam. Beachbody does not sell on eBay but they do have an account on Amazon. If a listing says “I bought P90X from Beachbody a year ago and did not use it.” then that would be ok to buy. However, I would recommend you buy it from the Beachbody Store new so you know you are getting a real copy. Along with that you will get a Beachbody Coach to help support you through it. This way you will not sell your P90X DVDs saying I did not use it.

The only way to get a discount on P90X is to sign up as a Beachbody Coach and buy it with a 25% discount. I tell everybody to do that, buy P90X and Shakeology. You’ll save over $60 on the entire order.

Yes, P90X will help you with this. However, you need to be following the P90X meal plan. 80% or more of your results come from what you eat. I cannot stress enough how important it is to be drinking Shakeology while using P90X.
