Program:P90X

What made you decide to start P90X? Was it the infomercial, friend or co-workers results, bored with the gym, etc.?

I was in my mid 40's, 6 ft, over 200 pounds and did not feel good. I had gained a couple of pounds a year over the years and it was adding up. I did not feel comfortable without a shirt by the pool and just felt lethargic. My cholesteral was over 220 and a friend suggested I may have to start taking some cholesteral drugs. My blood pressure was high. I did not want to take any medication. I was noticing my pants had gone up to size 36 and were tight. There was no way I was going to buy a 38. My clothes did not fit well. I saw the infomercial and thought I could do it. I needed a change. I had a gym membership but found it hard to consistently get down there. I also did not know the exercises that my body needed. I saw some pictures of myself and did not like what I saw.

What were your biggest obstacles (work, school, family)? How did you overcome those?

My biggest obstacle is just trying to schedule the time to workout in my busy daily routine. I have three boys age 4, 12 and 14. They keep me busy. I also work and travel quite a bit. I thought I did not have the time to workout or go to the gym on most days. I had a busy schedule at work and then soccer practice/football/basketball with the kids when I got home. We also had school activities and trying to spend a little time with my beautiful wife. I was over whelmed and stressed looking back at it. What I did not realize is that working out was essential to my body functioning well in my job and with my family. Now that I have made time in my daily routine to workout my life has become more manageable. I dont know how I functioned without it. Once I started to see some results and feel better I realized that you have to workout as you age.

How has P90X changed your life? Weight loss, inches off waist, body fat %, sports performance, etc.?

I have not reached all of my goals yet but I now weigh 175 and wear size 32 jeans. My body fat percentage is around 14. I play basketball weekly and have more energy that most of the guys on the court. I drive the ball further in golf. My golf score dropped about 5 strokes. I relax more when playing and do not tire on the back nine. I play soccer with my kids and some friends weekly. I also have energy for bike riding, hiking, rafting etc. I have become much more active. Healthwise my blood pressure dropped to115 over 62. My cholesteral is 180. My clothes fit better. I went from an extra large t- shirt to a medium t-shirt size. I feel like the workout clears my mind, makes me more productive at work, and reduces stress in my life. I dont know how I functioned without it. I would rather show up a few minutes late for work because I worked out than to go without doing it.

You signed up as Coach. Besides the business, what do you like most about it? Is it the discounts, committing to your health and fitness, coaching others, all of the above, etc?

I like the discounts to buy nutritional products. I also like being a part of this community. It motivates me and helps me when I see what the other coaches and members are doing. I want to help people that are in the same situation that I was in. I see people everyday, everywhere I go that need help. I see people just like I was and some much worse. I was not truly 100% happy with myself and I know others are not because they tell me. Contact me and I will help you do all of the things I have done. No medication, an active lifestyle, playing all sports with my kids and friends, feeling alert, confident, can go to the pool or the beach and feel good, smile more, the list goes on and on. I am truly a happier person. Let me help you! Sign up for a free account below.

Program: P90X

What made you decide to start P90X? Was it the infomercial, friend or co-workers results, bored with the gym, etc.?

Honestly two things. My friend Brad Gibala and my 36 inch waist. I was sick of buying bigger clothes and never being happy the way I looked without a shirt on. It’s funny cause at the stores all you see is medium and small sizes available, never large! I was on my way to my 30th birthday and needed to look 20 again. P90X and RevAbs gave me my look back

What were your biggest obstacles (work, school, family)? How did you overcome those?

Picking the same time everyday and working out for an hour/hour n half. Watching people eat pizza, pasta, and drink beer. I also have 2 children and the only time to work out was at 5:30am so it made for a long day.

How has P90X changed your life? Weight loss, inches off waist, body fat %, sports performance, etc.?

The program has made me realize that being healthy is in. Watching what I eat but not feeling guilty for eating bad once and a while. I lost 28 pounds, down to 15% body fat and in size 32 jeans instead of size 36.

You signed up as Coach. Besides the business, what do you like most about it? Is it the discounts, committing to your health and fitness, coaching others, all of the above, etc?

Besides the steady income I make each month I love to help people I know get back to their normal self. The coaching thing allows me to stay healthy and motivated to never gain the weight back. I'm a walking billboard for phattyfit.com so I need to stay trim or who is going to take my recommendations.

Program: P90X, Weight Lifting

What made you decide to start P90X? Was it the infomercial, friend or co-workers results, bored with the gym, etc.?

I had been working out for about ten years. I mainly did weight lifting mixed in with a little bit of cardio and playing some sports. One of my friends, Brad Gibala, kept telling me I should check out this P90X workout. I had seen the infomercials and I was intrigued so I figured I would give it a shot, but I have to be honest I was skeptical at first. After the second day I was a believer and I feel in love with this program and became a coach. If P90X was not real I would have just stopped after a week or two and did my own routine. Tony Horton is the man and he is the worlds best trainer, no doubt.

What were your biggest obstacles (work, school, family)? How did you overcome those?
I really did not have any huge obstacles. I am really driven, especially when it comes to my health. I just told myself to stick to the program and not veer from it in anyway, this way I could see honestly how good or bad it was. Now that is not to say the program wasn't difficult for me. It was very hard, and I had already been in great shape so that is what I loved. This program pushed me to be better when I thought I was at my peak and it got me there. I would not let myself fail.

How has P90X changed your life? Weight loss, inches off waist, body fat %, sports performance, etc.?
My body fat percentage, was already around 8-9% and I was at a weight I was very happy with, but P90X got me even more ripped and I lost about 5 pounds. I now look more ripped then I ever have in my life. It also exposed me to Yoga. I thought yoga was weird and useless. Now I love it, I think it is a great part of any workout program and like Tony Horton says, "It is the fountain of Youth". Bottom line, the P90X expanded my horizons in the fitness world.

You signed up as Coach. Besides the business, what do you like most about it? Is it the discounts, committing to your health and fitness, coaching others, all of the above, etc?
I like helping others the most. That is what I enjoy about being a coach. I know a lot about fitness and have been working out for so long, this is a passion to me and I love to share my knowledge that I have gathered on my own. I also like the discounts, I not only use them for myself but for my family as well!

Program: P90X

What made you decide to start P90X ? Was it the infomercial, friend or co-workers results, bored with the gym, etc.?

I started P90X because I was tired of deleting my life away. Every picture I saw of myself I deleted because I didnt like how I looked and I decided it was time for a change. I saw the P90X infomercial, thought it over for 2 months, and jumped in.

What were your biggest obstacles (work, school, family)? How did you overcome those?

My biggest obstacle was how out of shape I was. I just kept pushing and modifying until I was able to do things better and better.

How has P90X changed your life? Weight loss, inches off waist, body fat %, sports performance, etc.?

The P90X workout program has completely changed my life in every way. I've lost 68 pounds, quit smoking, and I'm in the best shape of my life. Since finishing P90X I have gone on to do P90X Plus, Rev Abs, and Insanity.

You signed up as Coach. Besides the business, what do you like most about it? Is it the discounts, committing to your health and fitness, coaching others, all of the above, etc?

I love coaching because I love helping people. It is amazing to help people achieve the same things or more than I have. My goal is to become one of the best coaches by providing motivation, knowledge, personal growth, and being there for my customers and coaches.

Nothing that was said or written is new to me but its cool to see P90X getting some airtime on the major networks. Darren Rovell said he is going to be starting P90X on July 1st and they even talked about the Beachbody Coach business.

Program: P90X

What made you decide to start P90X?

I first learned about P90x from my older brother Gianni who had been non-stop talking about this program. At first, I thought I’d be just fine doing my own normal routine but then I started to see the results my brother was getting. The next day I decided to become a coach and start my own 90 day resolution and it was the best change ever. I lost about 20lbs, bulked up like I wanted to and got my six pack back. Still going strong with the program and keeping in shape til this day.

What were your biggest obstacles (work, school, family)? How did you overcome those?

The biggest challenge for me was eating small meals throughout the day and drinking lots of water. Because I am on the road all the time for work, it was hard for me to pack food everyday and actually bring it with me. I overcame that by just making sure I made a lunch the night before so I had it ready for the morning. The other obstacle I had was actually working out on the weekends. Most of the time I just wanted to relax and not think about any “work” on the weekends or working out for that matter so it was tough to get to it. I just made sure to work out as soon as I got home on Friday’s, workout early on Saturday’s so it’s over and my rest days were on Sunday’s so I was all set there.

How has P90X changed your life? Weight loss, inches off waist, body fat %, sports performance, etc.?

P90x has given me the body that I had back when I was in high school. I had 3 workout classes a week back then and was always on top of my figure and in great shape. I could see the results with P90x within 30 days of the program. Yeah, 30 DAYS!! To give you an idea, my biceps alone grew from 12inches when starting out, to 14 1/2inches in a little over a month with P90x. After the 90 day program, I went from 183lbs to 160lbs, lost 4inches on my waist (really none of my pants fit me anymore) and reduce my body fat by 7.47%. I feel like I can run for miles and during soccer season I’m all over the place.

You signed up as Coach. Besides the business, what do you like most about it? Is it the discounts, committing to your health and fitness, coaching others, all of the above, etc?

What I like most about being a coach is that I am able to share my success with others and help them to make the change as I did. I feel by being a coach, I have a huge title and physical appearance to maintain as well and that helps me stay fit. The discounts are a plus but the best feeling comes from helping others change their lives.

Program: P90X

What made you decide to start P90X? Was it the infomercial, friend or co-workers results, bored with the gym, etc.?

A friend recommended P90X to me. I have always been "in shape" but never stuck with a workout routine because I would quickly become bored.

What were your biggest obstacles (work, school, family)? How did you overcome those?

I have a family of 5, work a full-time job and go to school full-time. I also officiate high school and college basketball year round. I don't allow obstacles, i.e. excuses, get in the way. After starting P90X, I was hooked from day 1. I have never been that sore from a workout and after Chest, Back & Ab Ripper X, I knew that this was the program for me.

How has P90X changed your life? Weight loss, inches off waist, body fat %, sports performance, etc.?

P90X has changed my life by helping me to become more fit, flexible and less injury prone. Before P90X, while officiating basketball games, I would constantly cramp up during half-time and I was always out of breath. Now I can run with the best of 'em. Plus, when trying to advance in officiating, assignors only hire referees with a certain "look". P90X has given me the "look" I was looking for.

You signed up as Coach. Besides the business, what do you like most about it? Is it the discounts, committing to your health and fitness, coaching others, all of the above, etc?

I originally signed up as a coach to receive the discounts. Since then, I enjoy being a coach because it holds me accountable to everyone. Now that everyone calls me "Mr. P90X" or "Tony Horton" I have to stay in shape. I have also enjoyed sharing P90X and other Beachbody programs with others. A number of my friends and family members have started one Beachbody program or another and they are all glad they did.

Program: P90X and Insanity

What made you decide to start P90X? Was it the infomercial, friend or co-workers results, bored with the gym, etc.?

My Dad was saying how much better P90X had made him feel overall, and he trains for triathlons so it carried a lot of weight. About a year ago (May 2009) I was at the heaviest I had been. Nothing terrible, but definitely noticeable. I sit at a desk probably 10-12 hours a day for work, so I have to get all my exercise deliberately. I decided to work towards changing it. Started running and doing body weight workouts with improved diet, but it didn't really make much of a difference. Then I started P90X in February 2010.

What were your biggest obstacles (work, school, family)? How did you overcome those?

Work sometimes long hours, and have to spend a lot of time sitting down. Also, following the meal plan was a major adjustment, but one definitely worth taking!

How has P90X changed your life? Weight loss, inches off waist, body fat %, sports performance, etc.?

I lost about 15 pounds and 10% body fat after my first run of P90X. So far, 30 days into Insanity, I'm down another 5 pounds and 1% BF. Couldn't be happier!

You signed up as Coach. Besides the business, what do you like most about it? Is it the discounts, committing to your health and fitness, coaching others, all of the above, etc?

The discounts were a major factor. Also, committing to being fit by also committing to coaching is a great motivator to stay on target. Telling others about the success I've had with P90X carries more weight when I mention I signed up for the coaching.

Program: P90X

What made you decide to start P90X?

I decided to start the program because I had always wanted to get into great shape and have a "beachbody". Before P90X I had always started working out with good intentions but had always moved away from my workouts. I had a serious commitment problem and needed some serious help. I had noticed that the P90X came with a workout and diet guide. After talking it over with few people who had already used it and had great success with it, I decided to put everything I had into it and to not let anything get into the way of my workouts.

What were your biggest obstacles (work, school, family)? How did you overcome those?

Being a teacher made it easier to use and complete the P9oX. The P90X is a 90 day workout system so it was perfect for me to do during the summer. The biggest obstacle that I had was following the 2000 calorie/day diet. Now 2000 calories a day is a lot, but the calories were all coming from extremely healthy food. Before, these types of foods were strangers to my body. But after about three weeks my body adjusted to the diet and I began to get into a great eating and working out routine. My wife used to make fun of me because I was so dedicated to working out. The height of this dedication came when we went on vacation and I brought the P90X with me. I told myself and my wife that if I didn't do my workouts while on vacation that I would be extremely upset with myself. After a while I began to crave working out and found that it gave me a "natural high."

How has P90X changed your life? Weight loss, inches off waist, body fat %, sports performance, etc.?

After the 90 days were up, I had lost 22 lbs., 4 inches off of my waist, and 7% in body fat. I play in an adult soccer league and I can remember telling one of my teammates that I had NEVER felt better in my life. The only other time I had been in better shape was when I wrestled in high school. Now, I may have been in better shape then but I didn't feel that good. I didn't feel that good because I wasn't really eating all that well. I would work my butt off to make weight and then binge eat afterwards. The P90X is the best of both worlds. I WISH I HAD KNOWN ABOUT P90X THEN!!!

You signed up as Coach. Besides the business, what do you like most about it? Is it the discounts, committing to your health and fitness, coaching others, all of the above, etc?

Besides the business aspect, what I like the most about being a coach is being committed to my health. This has led me to leading a healthier life and helping others do so as well.

I have read a lot of comments and talked to people who have said they really want to do P90X but its just too expensive for them. I understand that the $120 price tag might seem like a lot for a home workout program at first but you really have to break down what you get to justify the cost of it.

When you buy the P90X workout program you get:

1. 12 one hour long workouts and two recently added bonus workouts. Its like buying 14 different movies. A new movie on DVD costs around $15. Since each P90X DVD isn't an hour and a half like a normal movie lets say each DVD is worth $10. So 12 workouts X $10 = $120. I'm not going to count the bonus workouts.

2. The 100 page P90X workout guide book shows you exactly what to do and more importantly how to do it. The Men's Health: Book of Muscle sells for about $23 on Amazon. Its a book about the different types of exercises you can do. I did not buy it but it looks very similar to the P90X workout guide except that its not program specific. So let's say the P90X guide book would sell for $20 on its own.

3. 114 page meal plan called the P90X 3 Phase Nutrition Plan. Its full of recipes and tells you what and when to eat. The closest book I could find to this was Eat Fit: Be Fit which sells for $26. I did not buy it but the description looks similar to the P90X Nutrition Plan. Let's say the P90X meal plan book would sell for $20 individually.

4. P90X Calendar to keep track of your progress. I won't give it a $ value.

Adding it all up:

14 P90X workout DVDS $120

P90X Guide Book $20

P90X 3 Phase Nutrition Plan $20

= $160

So based on those numbers, P90X is under priced by $40. If anything, Beachbody should be selling it for more. Of course I don't want them to but they can justify the $120 cost of it.

I look at it as a investment now. I've done 4 rounds of P90X and it basically has become my workout plan. No more going to the gym. If you look at how much a gym membership costs a year you would be saving money. My gym membership use to cost $720 a year. Trainers and meal plans were extra...a lot extra.

Don't talk yourself out of buying P90X because of the price. Its a investment into your health and fitness. Give it a shot. I know you'll get hooked on it like I did. If your still concerned about the price then sign up as a Beachbody Coach like I did and get a 25% discount on it.
