I know the guy was a health fanatic before telling me about his daily workout log spanning back some 20 years. Very impressive indeed. We started talking P90X because his son has seen the transformations my brother and I have gone through over the past 4 years with Beachbody workouts. His dad didn’t think P90X would work for him because he already works out (don’t they all say that). After talking about P90X and what it’s about he told me he is 2 years away from retiring and has been taking classes to become a certified personal trainer at L.A Fitness. His goal is to get certified here in Michigan and then move down south after retiring and build a personal training business. It’s not about the money for him but more about helping people. This led me into mentioning the Beachbody Coach business and how it could benefit what he really wants to do. I could see the wheels turning while I was talking but we were interrupted and I’ll have to follow-up later. A lot of rebuttals he did give me were ones I’ve heard before but I’m not sure how many personal trainers think the same way and don’t take that extra step into looking what being a coach can do for their business.

What Happens In A Down Economy?

My home state of Michigan has been one of the worst states for economic growth over the past 10+ years. Let’s face it, the U.S economy as a whole is not getting better either. Families are stretching their paychecks as far as they can but eventually something has to give. Gym memberships and personal trainers are usually the first things to go. Saving $30 to $70 on gym dues or $500 to $700 a month for personal trainers are easier to cut out than groceries. How do you keep your personal training business going without them?

The phone call from your client saying they don’t want to cancel but they have to cancel is a blow to your business. How do you keep them while losing them at the same time? There is a solution as a coach. Instead of saying you understand and to call back when things get better you should say I understand and if cost is an issue then I have an ideal for you. As a coach you can recommend the P90X workout and still earn money from them. Sure, the $30 you earn from a one time sale is not the same as the $500 you would earn with them coming in but it keeps them in the loop. Do what I do and set up groups on Facebook where they have to check in with you everyday. Since you know the workout you’re recommending (you should do a round of P90X yourself) its easy to answer questions quickly.

Creating A Residual Income

From what I’m reading the biggest hurdles most personal trainers face is when clients cancel, go on vacation, or get injured. I’m sure gyms have different products they offer to clients and maybe the trainers have the potential to sell nutritional products. But what if they don’t and what if business isn’t going so well and you have to quit or close your gym? As a coach you can recommend all of the nutritional products and anything else in the Beachbody Store. I order Shakeology, P90X Recovery Drink, and the P90X Protein Bars on the monthly autoship for free shipping. If you were a personal trainer and recommended these products to me you would earn $45 every month from me. The best part is you only had to recommend it one time. Work once, get paid many times. You don’t have to keep anything in stock and Beachbody handles all the customer service and shipping. You just need to send a link to your client. I’m sure some gyms have a non-compete clause if they sell their own product line but if they don’t then why not tell your clients to buy from you. If you run a small gym then recommend the Beachbody products on the side. I’m sure you can see how the numbers can grow from the same clients.

It’s All About Leverage

I’m not talking about workout equipment but rather about your time. Regardless if you’re a personal trainer for a big gym or own your own place. You can only train so many hours a day. Even if you’re one of the best trainers in the area you live in you will eventually reach the highest price point you can charge. So how do you keep on growing the business? You could take out loans and build your own gym but that gets costly. Maybe charge other trainers how to train in groups but that gets away from training.

As a coach you could “train” as many people as you want in the same amount of time as you train one person. What do I mean? Most personal trainers do 1 on 1 sessions. All of the Beachbody workouts come with a workout guide, nutrition plan, and calendar showing what days to workout on. The trainers in the DVD show how to modify the moves. All of your work is already being done for you. Your only job is to tell them what to read, what to buy, and choose a start date. I’m not a personal trainer but I invite people to join my workout groups on Facebook. My only requirement is they buy one of the workouts and Shakeology. Every time somebody posts a question the entire group can see my reply which took about a minute to do. I have now informed the entire group…not just 1 person…on what to do. This is where leveraging time kicks in. The more the group grows the more my income grows. The people in the group love it because it holds them accountable. They continue to buy nutritional products and other Beachbody programs like the Insanity workout from me in the future. Who knows, one of your clients could become a coach themselves and do the same exact thing as you. In turn, you start to earn bonuses. How cool is that!

I’m The Best Trainer In The World. My Workouts Are Better Than Any Beachbody Workout

Do you work with one of the best infomercial/media companies in the U.S? If not, then your personal training business will probably grow no farther than the local area. I’m sure there are better trainers and workout programs out there than the ones Beachbody provides but if you don’t have an expert team of people working on building a brand then its going to take a lot of time to grow. It took Beachbody almost 10 years before things really started to take off for them. I have spoken with personal trainers and small gym owners who say that while they bring in more revenue from those businesses they actually earn more take home money from being a coach as the costs of running their own gym are high. With it only being $39 to sign up and $15 a month afterwards, the costs of being a coach are low. You’ll probably spend more than that every month for 1 cell phone bill owning your gym.

If you are a personal trainer or own a small gym then I hope this helps you see why you should become a Beachbody Coach. This is a way for you to piggy back off the success of the branding Beachbody has done and build a business that is not concentrated on the local economy. It also lets you grow outside of your local area as you can do all of this over the internet if you want. You don’t have to stop doing 1 on 1 sessions as there are still going to be people who need somebody watching over their every move. What this really does is help you do what you really want to do in the first place. Help even more people.
Post from: <a

Civilians pay a $40 sign up fee and $15 a month to be in the program. A great example of the savings for a military coach vs normal coach would be buying Shakeology that retails for $119.85. Normal coach gets its for $89.96 + $14.95 monthly fee = $104.91. A $14.94 savings. Military coach gets it for $89.96. A $29.89 savings. Every 3rd bag you order is free. Both scenarios assume you select auto ship for free shipping. This does not include the savings on ordering workouts, supplements like the P90X Recovery Drink or P90X Protein Bars, or equipment.

How Do You Get Signed Up As A Coach?

There are two ways to go about this and I recommend you do the first one as it is much faster. The second takes a day or two depending on how fast Beachbody processes your application.

Click on Beachbody Coach link.

Select items you want during sign up. I recommend Chocolate Shakeology on auto ship (free shipping) with a workout program.

Complete enrollment and pay the $40 sign up fee.

Beachbody will send you a welcome email when you are done. Scan a copy of your military ID card or a copy of your orders and send it to coachrelations@teambeachbody.com (or fax to 213-201-7225) saying you signed up as a coach and that you are active duty military. Beachbody will credit back the $40 sign up fee and waive the $15 a month fee. Call them at 800-240-0913 to confirm.

The second way to sign up as a coach is to print the application form, fill in the info, and fax it in.

Coach Application Form

For sponsor information put in my name – Brad Gibala and Sponsor ID – 36840. Fill in the info and fax it in to 213-201-7225 along with your proof of being active duty.

I recommend you do the electronic route because its much faster and you will need to have a credit card on file anyways. Coach relations said they will take care of any body who contacts them within at least 30 days and credit back the $40 sign up fee on the spot. If you have anymore questions then check out the <a

Right now he is a sophmore in college and plays basketball for his college team. He told me one of his goals is to try out and make a higher division college basketball team next year.

His dad introduced him to P90X two years ago when he was entering into his senior year of high school. He did P90X here and there instead of going to the gym. Now in college he uses it to train in the off season for basketball. With being big into basketball he told me that he got so much out of the plyometrics workout and it has helped him with his game. Him and I have something in common. We do not like going to the gym and would rather have a plan laid out in front of us that is going to get results.

I highly recommend you stopping by <a
