My name is Brad Gibala and I started this site in late 2007 as a way to keep track of my progress with the P90X workout. After completing my first round of P90X I was hooked. The results I've had with it made me a believer in the workout. When I completed my third round of P90X in early 2009 I found out about the Beachbody Coach opportunity and was intrigued. I signed up instantly as I knew this would be a perfect fit for me. I was already talking about P90X to my friends and family and many had started to do it. I was coaching many of them through P90X to begin with so this motivated me to keep up with my fitness while helping friends.
Fast forward to late 2009 and I am now a full time Beachbody Coach. I help answer questions for people looking to use the products and follow up with them to make sure they are still on track. Along the way of being a Coach I have met a lot of people. I use to only write about my experiences with P90X here but decided to talk about the people who have joined to be a coach with me. Its awesome seeing people commit to getting themselves in shape and spreading the news with people they meet.
I'm not a nutrition or fitness expert. Most of the stuff I've learned has come from doing the workouts and following the nutrition plans Beachbody comes out with. I would say that I am a person who enjoys staying in shape and being active.
For fun I play softball, golf, swim, mountain bike, ski, and snowboard. Some of my athletic accomplishments have been running the Detroit Marathon (4:25:01 was my time - pre P90X) and the Boulder Bolder in Colorado. I'm thinking about doing a triathlon but have not committed to it yet.
After finishing the marathon I searched for my next fitness endeavor. About 6 months went by and a friend of mine who was training for the Marines introduced me to P90X. Even though I was in great cardio shape I was not strong. I could barely do 2 chin ups when I first started the program. P90X was the kick in the butt I needed. It taught me what real working out was all about. I enjoyed all of the workouts and could see major improvements. Check out my P90X Results to see my before and after photos.
I grew up and still live in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. I spent a year in Colorado and 4 months in Europe after college.
